Wat Benchamabophit

Known for its construction in the marble Carrano Benchamabophit Wat was built during King Rama V. Its design is different from many churches in which colored glass is used and other aspects that are common to western religious structures. The temple houses a number of bronze Buddha images and beams decorated with gold leaf. Worth a visit if you have a lot of time, if not, it's probably better to concentrate on some key scenarios.
Details: The temple is open 8:00 to 17:30, and admission is 20 baht.

Directions: Located on Si Ayutthaya Road, Wat Benjamabopit are difficult to access by public transport. Perhaps the quickest way to get there is by boat to the pier Tewet Express and a taxi the rest of the road. If you want to go all the way taxi fare of 80-90 baht will be the center of Bangkok, depending on traffic.
